Anthony Kim’s impressive shot during the second round of the 2026 LIV Golf Adelaide event caught people’s attention. The American golfer is playing this week in the Saudi league event that started with its first round on Thursday, Feb. 12.

In the second round of the event, held on Friday, Feb. 13, Kim made a birdie on the 10th hole. As he made the birdie on the hole, a commentator said:

“It’s box office from Anthony Kim”

Anthony Kim started his game at the LIV Golf Adelaide event on Friday on the first tee hole. He made two birdies on the front nine and three on the back nine for a 5-under 67.

He is playing his event after joining the LIV Golf team. He joined Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces GC for the 2026 season ahead of the Adelaide event.

Former Masters winner Patrick Reed has left LIV Golf ahead of the start of the new season, and now Kim has officially joined the team in his place. He made his debut as a member of 4Aces GC on Thursday and has had an impressive time playing so far.

Anthony Kim reflects on playing with the LIV Golf team

Anthony Kim opened up about playing on a team in LIV Golf. He talked about it in the post-round press conference on Thursday.

“I’m just one day in, but obviously I wouldn’t have accepted to be on the team if I didn’t like all three of the guys,” he said (via ASAP Sports). “I’ve gotten to play with Thomas now quite a bit, and just being around guys that I want to hang out with off the golf course is the reason I chose to be on a team because obviously I had an option to stay wild card. But honored to be a part of the team, and I think as I get better, the team will have more chances to win.”

Kim carded an opening round of 67 at the LIV Golf Adelaide event. He also talked about his opening-round performance. He said:

“I hit the ball fairly well. I wish I made a few more putts, but missed some short ones out there today, but I can get better, so just continue to get better and just keep working.”

Before this week’s event, Anthony Kim played at the LIV Golf Riyadh event. He had a good time on the greens and carded four rounds of 68, 72, 69, and 66. He was tied for 22nd place in the event.

Kim was relegated from LIV Golf last year but made his way back to the league through the LIV Golf Promotions event. Last year at the Adelaide event, he was tied for 51st position. It will be interesting to see how things will unfold for him in 2026.
