“They put me in, like, a holding cell, I think,” Scheffler said. “Yeah. So I’m in a cell by myself, and that was the cell that I stretched in. But if you went to the front of the cell and looked out that way, I could see a TV, and I saw myself on the TV. So that’s when I was like, “Holy smokes, it’s still spinning.” I’m like, “How the heck am I in here?” But then I saw myself on the TV and then I saw they delayed it, and I was like, “Oh, maybe I’ll get out of here in time, and I can still play.”
Scottie Scheffler returned to play the 2024 PGA Championship and carded a round of 66 in the second round of the major. He started his campaign with an opening round of 67 and then carded 66, followed by the final two rounds of 73 and 65. He settled with a score of 13 under and tied for eighth place.
Notably, the charges against Scheffler were later dropped by the court.
Scottie Scheffler tees up at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2026
Scottie Scheffler has teed it up this week at the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The tournament started with its opening round on Thursday, February 12. He teed off on Thursday at the Pebble Beach Golf Links on the first tee.
He made two birdies and a bogey on the front nine and two bogeys and a birdie on the back nine for an even-par 72. He talked about his performance in the post-round press conference on Thursday.
“I hit the iron shot how I wanted to,” he said. “You know the wind just carried it much further than it should have. If that ball lands on the green with how soft the greens are, probably a 15-footer for birdie. It lands about a foot into the fringe and not only doesn’t go in the bunker, it hops over that bunker. Fortunately in spite of the hazard I was able to make par. Little stuff like that I felt I was going up against today”
Scottie Scheffler was tied for 62nd place after the first round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Ryo Hisatsune had taken the lead in the game at 10 under. Meanwhile, earlier this year, Scheffler had won The American Express and was tied for third at the WM Phoenix Open.
