Jon Rahm opened up about picking walk-up songs by his team. The Spanish golfer is playing this week in his second event of the 2026 LIV Golf season in Adelaide. He is in contention to win the title and took the lead in the game heading into the final round.

His team, Legion XIII, had special walk-up songs for the players, and after the second round on Friday, he was asked about the song and how the team picked it.

“For anybody that’s confused right now, we did it last year in Indy, and we’re doing it this week again where instead of ourselves picking our walk-up songs, the team picks for you and you have no idea what’s coming,” he said (via ASAP Sports).

“There’s some themes that go with it, but it’s me and Tyrrell picking, basically. Caleb and Tom do not want to be a part of picking for some reason, but it’s a lot of fun for both of us. Hopefully you like it. That’s all I can say. I had Mariah Carey “Always Be My Baby.” I love that song, so it’s not really — I like it. It’s fun,” he added.

Legion XIII consists of Jon Rahm, along with Caleb Surratt, Tyrrell Hatton, and Tom McKibbin. They picked up Mariah Carey, Ozzy Osbourne, Silk, and Crazy Frog’s songs on Friday.

Notably, before this week’s event, Rahm played at the season-opening Riyadh event. He had a decent outing and settled in second place.

Jon Rahm opens up about his performance at the 2026 LIV Golf Adelaide

Jon Rahm kick-started his game at the 2026 LIV Golf Adelaide event with an opening round of 68. He then carded the next round of 63. He was impressive even in the third round on Saturday.

Rahm started the game on the first tee with a bogey and then added another bogey on the second hole. He carded four birdies on the front nine and three birdies and a bogey, along with an eagle on the back nine, for an impressive round of 6-under 66 and took the lead in the game, tied with Bryson DeChambeau.

In the post-round press conference, Jon Rahm opened up about his performance. He said:

“I think so, especially when we play the way we did. Slow start for both of us, but from basically 6 on, both of us — yeah, from 6 on, we’re both basically 7- and 8-under. Bryson really got it going. At one point it looked like he was going to be uncatchable. Seems like after a big mistake on 13, I got things going.

“It’s a lot of fun. I feel like I had no business shooting 6-under today, but it’s not how, it’s how many, and I was able to find a way, and hopefully I can tidy it up for tomorrow,” he added.

This week, Anthony Kim has also been impressive with his game. He was settled in solo third place after three rounds. Peter Uihlein tied for fourth place with Lucas Herbert and Cameron Smith. The tournament is scheduled to have its finale on Sunday, February 15.
