Jordan Spieth showed some really encouraging signs at the Genesis Invitational this week.
Spieth ended up in a tie for 11th at Riviera, after being handed a sponsor’s invite into the Genesis Invitational.
The 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas, was invited to play at Pebble Beach last week as well, and the same applies to the Arnold Palmer Invitational next month.
Do you believe Jordan Spieth can get back to his best?

How many times will he win on the PGA Tour this season? No he is cooked. Got his money and now as most golfers do they don’t care about winning just keeping their card. In my humble opinion money shoukd go to top 10. When the guy that finishes last makes enough money to be comfortable you lose complete competition. Golfers are soft.Spieth has shown real signs of life on the PGA Tour over the past couple of weeks, with his improved putting helping him to a top-30 finish at Pebble Beach and a tie for 12th at the Genesis.
Playing in the PGA Tour‘s Signature Events is crucial for the top players in the world, given the money and FedEx Cup points on offer.
Spieth’s fine performance this week at Riviera will give him huge encouragement moving forward.
Now the onus is very much on him to ensure that he doesn’t require sponsor’s exemptions in the future.
Jordan Spieth states what he never wants to do on the PGA Tour again
It was clear to see after his final round at Riviera on Sunday that the three-time major champion is feeling pretty good about his game right now.
Spieth has to be careful and actually start playing well consistently, because sponsor’s invites will not last forever.
And he made that very clear himself after finishing up at Riviera on Sunday.
“I like the stretch that’s coming up,“ he said.
“I’m glad to be going back to Bay Hill and fortunate they gave me a spot.
“I don’t ever want to use an exemption again and I was hoping to not have to use that one, but I have a good history there and I feel like I got some momentum.
“And a good weather week in Dallas, which is nice.“
The onus is now on Jordan Spieth to win again
That’s a confident vow from Spieth and it’s great to hear him talk so positively.
What do you expect from Jordan Spieth in 2026?
Will he win on the PGA Tour this season?

While the 13-time PGA Tour winner has been nowhere near his best over the past few years, he’s still capable of winning the very biggest events.
