Antonio Brown spoke about the controversy involving Tez Johnson after Buccaneers wide receiver’s former fiancée, Laila Thompson-Wainer, accused him of cheating.

On Friday, Brown shared a clip of Thompson-Wainer’s video and wrote,

“Cracker of the day.”

In the video, first posted by Thompson-Wainer and later reshared by the X account College Transfer Portal, she talked about what she called a very painful experience connected to Feb. 2, the anniversary of her engagement to Johnson.

According to her, he contacted his ex-girlfriend both before and after proposing.

“A year ago today I got engaged and later found out he cheated on me the same day he proposed,” Thompson-Wainer said. “It was really traumatizing.”

The couple were living in Orange County while Tez Johnson was training.

That morning (Feb. 21, 2024), she believed he was going to propose. They went to a reptile zoo, had a photo shoot in the hills and later went to the beach before having an engagement dinner.

“I just remember saying, oh, my cheeks hurt so much from smiling. I was so happy,” she said.

Later, she said she found messages that Johnson allegedly sent to his ex-girlfriend on the morning of the proposal and again that night after dinner. She did not share what the messages said and called them “gross.”

“For some reason, you cheat before and after you propose, the morning of and the night. That’s just something I will never understand,” she said. “I’ve given up on trying to understand how someone can be that evil. I think you just have to be a sociopath.”

Thompson-Wainer said she is sharing her story to help other women who may be going through similar situations.

“If I can make one woman feel seen, heard, or understood, or aid in the journey of healing, then I’ve accomplished what I set out to do,” she said. “Don’t you dare try to silence me again.”

Tez Johnson has not publicly responded to the allegations.
