Scottie Scheffler has commented on his first impressions of Brian Rolapp and the PGA Tour CEO’s decision to welcome Brooks Koepka back at the start of the season.
Brian Rolapp looks set to oversee some huge changes on the PGA Tour. There is an expectation that the schedule will be streamlined, with as few as 20 events on the calendar at some stage in the coming years.

The PGA Tour’s best players will be in action at Bay Hill…
Meanwhile, he was also given the extremely difficult task of handling how to welcome back Brooks Koepka following his LIV Golf exit without upsetting the membership.
It seems that Scottie Scheffler would say that Rolapp has, so far, done an excellent job.
Scottie Scheffler explains what he thought of Brian Rolapp after their first meeting
Scheffler was asked about the work Rolapp has done since his appointment midway through the 2025 season.
And the world number one suggested that he had been extremely impressed.
“You look at a situation like Brooks. That was something that Brooks had a desire to come back to the tour, and he’s a guy that provides a ton of value for the tour and for our fans and sponsors, and a guy that’s had a ton of success in the game of golf. And Rolapp’s like, ‘okay, he wants to come back, let’s figure out how to do this, and then gets it done in a pretty quick fashion’. So seen a lot of great things from him so far and excited about the future.”
The Brooks Koepka saga saw Brian Rolapp secure a major victory
Clearly, Rolapp’s legacy is likely to be defined by decisions that he is yet to officially announce. There is so much intrigue surrounding how the future schedule will look, and what that will mean for the large majority of the PGA Tour.
But there is no question that Rolapp handled the Koepka situation almost perfectly.
What do you think about Luke Donald’s appointment?
Ultimately, the PGA Tour would have been cutting off their nose to spite their face if they had dug their heels in and told Koepka to serve a lengthy suspension.
Perhaps the penalties could have been stronger. However, Rolapp showed LIV’s biggest stars that there is likely to be a pathway back to the PGA Tour if they want it badly enough.
The PGA Tour is stronger for having Koepka back, particularly when he is playing in full-field events. And LIV know that they cannot become complacent when it comes to keeping their best players.
It was undoubtedly a huge win for Rolapp.
