Travis Kelce spent part of his NFL offseason around golf. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was recently spotted at Tiger Woods’ TGL event, where he crossed paths with Kai Trump during the match between Jupiter Links GC and The Bay Golf Club.
Kelce attended the event at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on Tuesday with his brother Jason Kelce. The two were seen watching the match from the stands before later walking onto the turf to greet Woods.
During the match, Kelce was also seen chatting with Kai Trump. The 18-year-old is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump. A video shared on social media showed the two having a brief conversation while watching the action.
Kai attended the event with her mother, Vanessa Trump, who is currently dating Woods. The 15-time major champion plays for Jupiter Links GC in the TGL league and was present at the venue, although he did not take part in the match.
Kai is an avid golfer and made her LPGA debut last year at the ANNIKA tournament. She was also seen in the crowd cheering for Woods’ team during the match.
Travis and Jason Kelce also took part in some of the activities during the event. The brothers tried the TGL golf setup and briefly addressed the crowd at the indoor arena.
Travis Kelce shares his experience at TGL and growing interest in golf
Travis Kelce also got a closer look at the action during the TGL match, where he briefly joined the broadcast and spoke about how much he enjoyed watching the players compete in the indoor league.
During the ESPN coverage, Kelce appeared for a short interview and shared his reaction to the experience.
“This is absolutely epic, obviously a huge fan of all these guys playing right here. It’s just been awesome to see them duke it out,” Travis said.
Later in the evening, Kelce and his brother joined ESPN host Scott Van Pelt for another live segment. During the conversation, Jason Kelce jokingly praised his younger brother’s golf swing.
“Trav has been smooth his whole life, which is something I know nothing about,” Jason said. “All power and explosion.”
Kelce has also spent time around PGA Tour events during the NFL offseason. Earlier this year, he played as an amateur at the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he was paired with PGA Tour player Keith Mitchell.
After their round Mitchell admitted he was impressed after playing alongside the Kansas City Chiefs star.
“Humbling. He hits it way farther than I do,” Mitchell said.
Travis Kelce has often spoken about why he enjoys spending time on the golf course.
“It’s just the beauty of the course to be honest. I know I’m not going to come out here and shoot low. I’m just going to have some fun doing it,” he said. “Once I found out I was playing with old cashmere Keith over here I had to try and match his swagger.”
He added that golf gives him a chance to relax away from football.
“Just to get away from reality to be honest. Stand over a ball, hit it as hard as I can, let some steam off and just enjoy the views.”
Travis Kelce has also appeared at other PGA Tour events including the pro-am before the WM Phoenix Open, where he played alongside Brooks Koepka.
Known for his power off the tee, Travis Kelce currently plays to a handicap of around 11 and has steadily improved in recent years. At the 2023 American Century Championship, he won the long drive contest with a 362-yard drive.
