Maxx Crosby is beginning a new chapter of his NFL career in 2026.
On Friday, the Las Vegas Raiders were reported to be trading the star edge rusher to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for two first-round picks (2026 and 2027). The move ends a seven-year tenure that saw him become a two-time second-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler but make the playoffs just once – a first-round loss in 2021.
Reacting to the trade via social media on Saturday, Crosby began by reflecting on his tenure with the Silver and Black:
“Raider Nation has given me everything. My family, I’ve had a chance to get married, had the most beautiful daughter in the world. Grow as a man, as a player, as a leader, as a human being. … I gave ya’ll everything I got, and I have no regrets about that. I put everything into trying to win as a Raider.”

Later in the video, he made his goal with his new team clear:
“I’m going there with one purpose, and that’s to help this team get to where it needs to be, and where everybody wants to go. And that’s winning the Super Bowl. And I know it’s going to be very difficult. I know there’s no guarantees in this, but I’m gonna give everything in my heart and soul to bring a championship to Baltimore.”

Sean Payton was happy at Raiders trading Maxx Crosby to Ravens
There has been much sadness towards Maxx Crosby’s forthcoming departure from Las Vegas, but Sean Payton is apparently not one of those people.
Shortly after the news broke, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, who was incidentally the first to report on Crosby’s discontent with the Raiders organization, received a call from the Denver Broncos head coach:
“Sean Payton called me soooo fired up the Raiders traded Maxx Crosby and even just texted Maxx saying he’s offering to pay a private plane one-way flight to Baltimore, happy to see him out of the division. Funny. But also added, ‘You are an inspiration to watch and compete against.'”
