Sean McVay’s LA Rams have been linked with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The Rams will have reigning MVP Matthew Stafford, 38, returning to the team for the 2026 season. However, there have been rumors suggesting that Burrow might be open to leaving Cincinnati amid his frustrations with the team, and he could potentially be Stafford’s successor in LA.
On Tuesday, Rams insider Erin Coscarelli appeared on “Yahoo Sports Daily” and was asked about the possibility of Burrow joining the Rams in the future.
“Honestly, Nothing surprises me anymore,” Coscarelli said. “Why I think it could make sense is because they did a trade with Stafford where they really wanted what he offered, in terms of how smart, I don’t think talented, but Stafford is essentially just another offensive coordinator. … They want someone that represents the Rams.
“So they want high character, they want high IQ. They want high emotional intelligence, all the things the Rams really have navigated uniquely with different personalities.

However, Burrow has reportedly been frustrated with injuries and the Bengals’ lack of success in the past few seasons. Cincinnati has not made the playoffs in the past three seasons.
