Raiders’ new C Tyler Linderbaum makes his feelings known on Maxx Crosby returning to Las Vegas after failed Ravens trade

The Maxx Crosby situation shocked many people in the NFL world. The Baltimore Ravens sent two first-rounders to Las Vegas to acquire one of the best defenders in the league, but just days later, they backed out.

Still, the Raiders completed multiple moves to improve the roster. While they had to maneuver after recovering the $30 million they had released in the Crosby trade, the Raiders still proceeded. On Friday, new center Tyler Linderbaum discussed the Crosby situation.

“Obviously, I can’t speak on the situation. Don’t know the details of what all went on,” Linderbaum said during his introductory conference.

“Would love for Maxx to be here and play with him. I’ve gone against him. He’s not fun to go against. We had to scout him and his ability to lead a team is pretty special. Excited to be on his team.”

Maxx Crosby played 15 games in 2025. The Raiders shut him down for the final two games of the season, which caused issues between the player and the team. He recorded 73 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception for 19 yards. He is set to earn a base salary of $30 million in 2026.

Tyler Linderbaum joined the Raiders in free agency after spending the first four seasons of his career under John Harbaugh with the Ravens. He agreed to a three-year, $81 million deal earlier this week.

Maxx Crosby named in potential swap involving A.J. Brown

Crosby and A.J. Brown became two of the most prominent names in trade rumors in the weeks leading up to free agency. On Wednesday’s episode of “The Ringer NFL Show,” Sheil Kapadia proposed a trade involving the two stars.

“How about a deal that includes AJ Brown and Crosby, because it’s always been about (Roseman) just getting on the phone and saying ‘Hey, this could be fascinating’ and going from there. (The Eagles) say we don’t want to offer you two first-round picks, but what if we gave you A.J. Brown and a second-round pick for Maxx Crosby? Who says ‘No’ to that?”
