Scottie Scheffler reacted to his chances of winning The Players Championship 2026. The PGA Tour event is heading for its finale, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 15.
The American golfer made the cut after two rounds, and on Saturday, he carded a round of 67 and jumped 25 spots on the leaderboard. He was tied for 26th place on the leaderboard, and in the post-round press conference on Saturday, he opened up about his chances of winning The Players Championship.
“Not unless it starts blowing like 30 miles an hour,” he said (laughing).
Scottie Scheffler also talked about his performance in the event. He added:
“I was a little sharper today than I was the first two days. I felt like I was swinging it better each day of the tournament.”
Scottie Scheffler had a tough start to his campaign this week at The Players. He carded a round of 72 and then added another round of 73. He then played a round of 67, in which he recorded five birdies.
