Tiger Woods provided an update on his comeback. The American golfer underwent a disc replacement surgery in October and has since been focused on his recovery.

This week, on Tuesday, his TGL team, Jupiter Links Golf Club, played in a semifinal game against Boston Common GC. Woods did not play in the game but was there to cheer for his team.

While talking to the media, he also opened up about his comeback. He said he has been working on it.

“I said I’ve been working on it,” Woods said. “Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days. Disk replacement is not a lot of fun. So Will Zalatoris went through it, he had two levels done, and it takes time. So as I said, I’ve had a lot of procedures prior to that, so the body doesn’t quite heal like it was when I was 24. Doesn’t quite bounce back. So I have good days when I can pretty much do anything, and other days where it’s hard to just to move around…”

Tiger Woods has won the Masters five times in his career and holds a lifetime exemption to play in the event. So far in his career, he has played 26 times in the majors and made the cut in 25.

He was runner-up twice at the Masters. He only missed the cut in 1996 and, since 1997, has had an impressive streak of making the cut in the Masters. His last outing at the Masters was in 2024, and that year he settled in 60th place.

It would be interesting to see if Tiger Woods would play at the Masters in 2026.

Tiger Woods shares an update on playing in TGL

Tiger Woods has not played in any of the TGL games this season. His team, Jupiter Links Golf Club, had an impressive time on Tuesday and won against Boston Common GC, and with that, they qualified for the TGL finale. Woods was asked if he would be coming to play in the TGL next week.

“Well, I think that I have been trying to play each and every one of these matches,” he said. “I’ve been trying to come back. But it just hasn’t worked out that way. I’ve had a bad run of injuries last year. I think it’s been a year and a few days since I blew out my Achilles. And so then I’ve had two back operations. So it’s been a little rough go. But the guys here, this team, we have so much fun, I really don’t want to screw up the lineup, I just want these guys to keep playing.”

Tiger Woods’ team, Jupiter Links GC, will next play against Los Angeles GC on Monday, March 23, in the finale of the TGL.

Meanwhile, Woods last played on the PGA Tour in 2024. That year, he competed in five tournaments but struggled in most of them. He missed the cut in three events, withdrew from the Genesis Invitational, and settled in 60th place at the Masters.
