Tiger Woods is likely not to play in any tournament ahead of the Masters. The American golfer is looking forward to his comeback at the Augusta National next week. However, before that, his TGL team, Jupiter Links GC, will play in the final championship game.

Ahead of this week’s TGL game, Woods’ Jupiter Links GC teammate Kevin Kisner has suggested the American golfer play in the game on the Fore Play podcast.

“If we win tonight, we’ll be in the championship (match). And I told him if you’re going to play Augusta, you’ve got to play in our final (TGL) championship match,” Kisner said. “It’s just a must, because you can’t just wing it at Augusta and not give us anything. He just laughs at s— like that so you never get anything out of him. If you can’t do that, you can’t play Augusta, Tiger…”

Tiger Woods had also opened up about his team. He was asked about his plan to play in the TGL finale. However, Woods has said he “didn’t want to screw the lineup” and wants his teammates to “keep playing.”

“I think that I have been trying to play each and every one of these matches,” Woods said. “I’ve been trying to come back. But it just hasn’t worked out that way. I’ve had a bad run of injuries last year. I think it’s been a year and a few days since I blew out my Achilles.

“And so then I’ve had two back operations. So it’s been a little rough go. But the guys here, this team, we have so much fun, I really don’t want to screw up the lineup, I just want these guys to keep playing,” he added.

Jupiter Links GC has been pretty impressive throughout this season on the TGL and made it to the final. The team will compete against Los Angeles GC in the TGL final on March 23.

Tiger Woods shares an update on playing at the Masters

In the post-round press conference of the TGL semifinals, Tiger Woods also shared an update about his playing at the Masters. The 15-time major winner has been focused on his recovery after he underwent a disc replacement surgery in October. Speaking of the Masters, Woods said:

“I said I’ve been working on it. Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days. Disk replacement is not a lot of fun. So Will Zalatoris went through it, he had two levels done, and it takes time.

“So as I said, I’ve had a lot of procedures prior to that, so the body doesn’t quite heal like it was when I was 24. Doesn’t quite bounce back. So I have good days when I can pretty much do anything, and other days where it’s hard to just to move around,” he added.

Notably, the 2026 Masters is scheduled to take place from April 9 to 12 at the Augusta National. Tiger Woods has won the Masters five times in his career, and it would be interesting to see if he returns to play next month in the first major of the year.
