After two rounds of the 2026 Valspar Championship, some big names, including Wyndham Clark, have missed the cut. This week on the PGA Tour, players teed it up at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.
The tournament kicked off with its opening round on Thursday, March 19, and has a cutline after two rounds. The cutline for the event was 1-over, and only the players who finished above the cutline made the cut in the event and secured their spot for the final two rounds over the weekend.
After Friday’s round, Sungjae Im took the lead in the game. He carded two rounds of 64 and 69 to settle with a total of 9-under. Wyndham Clark had a tough time on the greens and missed the cut. He started the game with an opening round of 70 and then carded the next round of 74.
Another big name who had a tough time at the Valspar Championship is Max Homa. He had a tough start to the game on Thursday. He made four bogeys and a birdie on the front nine, then a double bogey, along with three bogeys and a birdie on the back nine for a 7-over 78.
After the tough start, his struggle continued in the second round of the event as well. He made three bogeys for a round of 3-over 74 and settled with an overall score of 10-over. He missed the cut by nine strokes.
Sahith Theegala is another big name who missed the cut at the Valspar Championship. He played rounds of 77 and 72 and settled with a score of 7-over. Some other big names who missed the cut this week are Erik van Rooyen, Taylor Moore, and Adam Hadwin.
