The idea of Aidan Hutchinson and Maxx Crosby’s pass-rushing partnership has been muted in the last couple of weeks. Amid the uncertainty around Crosby’s future with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Detroit Lions have been projected as one of the likely trade destinations.
Hutchinson has once again addressed the possibility of having Crosby on the same team with him in an exclusive interview with Casino Guru. The defensive end is intrigued with the idea of the partnership, but he’s choosing to remain realistic in his projection of the team’s stance about the possibility of that happening.
“The idea of it is incredibly promising,” Hutchinson said. “That sounds like a dream scenario to be playing alongside a beast like that. I was answering the same questions last year about Myles Garrett.
“So I don’t know the reality of this situation and how real this actually is, especially given our GM — if you listen to him talk a little bit about edge rushers, I don’t know. It doesn’t sound like it’d be something they pursue. But you never know what they do. There’s also the money and cash situation.”

Having Aidan Hutchinson and Maxx Crosby lead the Lions’ pass-rushing duty next season will undoubtedly present them as one of the best defenses in the NFL. However, getting Crosby won’t be cheap, and the competition among NFL teams will be steep.
Aidan Hutchinson discusses the Lions’ 2025 performance
The Detroit Lions endured a frustrating 2025 season, finishing 9-8 and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Aidan Hutchinson discussed how that felt within the team in his interview with Casino Guru and how they’re dealing with moving forward.
“It was not an ideal situation,” Hutchinson said. “But we put ourselves in that. You can sit there and say, ‘If we made this play, won this game, we’d be in it.’ But we didn’t, so you’ve got to live with that reality and move on. But I say this all the time: the beautiful thing about football is, it doesn’t matter if you win the Super Bowl.
“A week later, two weeks later, people are still going to be like, ‘Alright, 2026 season. How are the Lions going to do it again?’ It’s always about the next play, the next game, the next season. That’s what this business is. That’s what we’re going to embody.”
The drop-off was especially stark coming off a dominant 2024 campaign in which they secured the NFC’s No. 1 seed and the league’s best overall record. However, Aidan Hutchinson is positive the team will return stronger in 2024.
