Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios’ ex-girlfriend, Alix Earle, broke down in a TikTok video on Tuesday. The emotional spiral was triggered by a fan comment on her Feb. 25 video.

The fan pointed out that her description of Earle’s breakup with Berrios felt like the lyrics to Travis Kelce’s fiancée Taylor Swift’s “New Year’s Day.”

“Please don’t ever become a stranger / Whose laugh I could recognize anywhere,” the lyric reads in the 2017 song.

After reading the comment, Earle looked it up and posted a follow-up TikTok on Tuesday.

“I didn’t know that song and then I just looked it up and guys, what the H?” she said through tears. “I’m literally purple from crying. I look like Barney.”

In the overlay of the video, Earle cited the aftermath of the breakup as the reason she has not been posting much.

“Probably bc this is me spiraling every night,” she added.

In the Feb. 25 video, Alix Earle revealed that meeting Braxton Berrios at The Palm Tree Music Festival in Aspen took place over two days: Feb. 20 and Feb. 21. It was their first encounter since the split.

On the first night of the festival, they were in the same room but did not talk. Earle said she felt “really emotional” and did not want to “annoy him” by going up to him.

They said a quick “hi” the next night, but she said it was hard to deal with how things had changed between them.

“It’s weird when you go from someone being like your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room… so that was tough — and by tough, I mean terrible,” she said.

Alix Earle confirmed her split from Braxton Berrios on Dec.13.

Earle said long distance was the main reason.

She splits her time between Los Angeles and Miami, while Berrios plays for the Houston Texans. She has said they are still on “good terms” and even called him her “best friend” during the breakup.

The crying video went viral as Earle has also been linked to NFL legend Tom Brady. They were seen together in St. Barts over New Year’s and later at a pre-Super Bowl party on Feb. 7.

Braxton Berrios linked up with Olivia Jade Giannulli at the Palm Tree Music Festival in Aspen, where Alix Earle encountered the Texans wide receiver.

Feb. 22 reports from DeuxMoi claimed Berrios and Giannulli were “flirting all night” in the festival’s VIP sections.

The twist is that just hours before the flirting rumors surfaced, Olivia Jade Giannulli posted a selfie with Alix Earle from the festival on her Instagram Story.
