Anthony Kim immediately reacts after posting a 63 to win LIV Golf Adelaide ahead of Jon Rahm

Anthony Kim has spoken following his incredible final round allowed him to secure victory at LIV Golf Adelaide on Sunday.

Many may have expected Anthony Kim to be the third wheel as he joined Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau in the final group on Sunday at LIV Golf Adelaide

Who is the biggest winner if Tiger Woods never existed?

Kim began the day five shots behind both Rahm and DeChambeau. However, the 4Aces’ new signing completely stole the show at The Grange to take a three-shot lead down the last.

The 40-year-old understandably could not contain his emotions as he edged closer and closer to his first professional win in nearly 16 years.

When Kim landed his approach pin-high on the 18th hole, it became apparent that victory would be his. The crowds swarmed the fairway to get as close to the putting surface as they could.

Unsurprisingly, Kim was largely lost for words.

“I don’t really know what to say right now. It’s a bit overwhelming right now. But I’m never not going to fight for my family. God gave me a talent and I was able to play some good golf today,” he said.

“I knew it was coming. Nobody else has to believe in me but me. For anybody that’s struggling, you can do anything.

“I knew this was going to happen. But for it to actually happen is pretty insane. I just want to thank all the people that have supported me, including you. When I was not playing well, I was struggling, I was on the verge of never coming back to LIV, always supported me. Thank you to everyone for being in my corner.”

The comeback is not yet complete for Anthony Kim

Kim’s victory may complete one of the game’s most remarkable turnarounds. Before you even think about the American spending nearly 11 years out of the game, it must not be overlooked that Kim was relegated from LIV just last season.

He was adamant that his game was trending in the right direction. But putting three rounds together proved to be particularly tricky for him.

LIV’s move to 72 holes looked set to hurt his chances even more – after he earned his place back through the Promotions Event back in January. It should not be forgotten that Kim did not even win that Promotions Event.

But Kim came within one shot of tying the course record with his scintillating performance on Sunday.

Perhaps it would be unfair to say that the comeback is complete, because there looks to be even more to come from Anthony Kim.
