Antonio Brown demeans Aaron Rodgers with wild graphic as Steelers QB fails miserably in 30-6 wild-card loss vs. Texans

Antonio Brown reacts to Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers did not turn up in what might have been the final game of his career, and some did not forget to mock him over it.

The multiple-time MVP struggled in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 30-6 wild-card loss to the Houston Texans on Monday, notching just 17 completions for 146 yards and a pick-six to Calen Bullock in what could be his last-ever passing attempt. He was also sacked four times, one of which led to a fumble recovery touchdown to Sheldon Rankins.

On Tuesday morning, Antonio Brown reacted to the loss by posting an edited picture of Rodgers doing the infamous shot of the former wide receiver abandoning a Tampa Bay Buccaneers-New York Jets game late in the 2021 season:

Before the game, speculation had abounded that Rodgers might retire with a loss. During his post-game press conference, however, he walked out when asked about it a second time. He had said earlier:

“I’ve answered that a number of times. I’ve talked extensively about how I feel about Mike. And I just did in that (expletive) answer, so … thanks.”

Steelers predicted to make big trade to replace Aaron Rodgers

If Monday indeed proves to be the last game Aaron Rodgers ever plays, they already have an in-house option in Will Howard, whom they selected in the sixth round of the 2025 draft. However, Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine thinks they will instead move two draft picks for Kyler Murray.

The former Offensive Rookie of the Year’s future with the Arizona Cardinals has become increasingly uncertain, and it was only exacerbated when head coach Jonathan Gannon was fired last week after a 3-14 record. With that in mind, Ballentine writes:

“Assuming Rodgers retires, Murray might be the best veteran quarterback available on the trade market. A trade in which they give up a Day 2 pick this year and a conditional pick that appreciates if Murray stays healthy could land them their next veteran quarterback.”
