Former NFL star Antonio Brown shared a short message after being released from jail on Thursday. The one-time Super Bowl winner walked out of the prison gates after posting his $25,000 bond. Prosecutors had sought pretrial detention for the former Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, arguing that Brown had the resources to flee.

After leaving the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami before his trial, Brown greeted his attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, before offering a three-word message to reporters.

“God is good,” Brown said, per The Daily Mail.

Brown and his attorney went to a food truck, where he ordered a cup of conch.

The player will be under house arrest until his trial begins. Brown was accused of firing two shots at another man after he was involved in a fight outside a celebrity boxing event held by streamer Adin Ross in May.

Brown is wearing a GPS ankle monitor after being put under level three house arrest, which means he can work and isn’t subject to a curfew. His attorney also spoke after AB was released.

“We’re extremely grateful that he’s out after over 40 days of incarceration. He’s extremely eager to rejoin his family, who he loves dearly.”

Antonio Brown’s attorney entered a ‘not guilty’ plea on the retired player’s behalf on Monday. He was extradited to Miami after fleeing the country. Brown was in Dubai, from where he sent a message to his kids, telling their mothers to start working and stop expecting money from him.

A warrant was issued for Antonio Brown in June following a shooting outside the boxing event on May 17. Footage shared on X showed Brown allegedly fighting with several people outside the venue.

He was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals Service agents. He was first sent to Essex County Correctional Facility in New Jersey on Thursday, before he was transferred to Florida.

If convicted of second-degree murder attempt, Brown faces a potential 15-year prison sentence. Ever since his last NFL game in 2021, Brown has made the headlines, and most of the time, not for the best reasons.
