Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just missed out on an opportunity to win the NFC South and make the playoffs. Just days after the end of their disappointing season, the Buccaneers made vast coaching changes, which included the dismissal of offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard.
Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily, reshared a post that made a startling statement about the quarterback’s NFL career. The 30-year-old will enter his ninth NFL season in 2026 and will play under his ninth offensive coordinator, a stat that battled his wife.
“9 OCs in 9 years….(mind blown emoji)” Emily Mayfield captioned her Instagram Story.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had three different offensive coordinators the last three seasons. Dave Canales took over the job in 2023 and was then hired by the Carolina Panthers as their coach. Liam Cown took over in 2024 and then he was hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars as their coach. Both Canales and Coen have now led their teams to the playoffs this season.
Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily, showed support for John Harbaugh after being fired by Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens were one of eight teams that parted ways with their head coaches at the conclusion of the NFL regular season. One of the coaches was Baltimore Ravens’ John Harbaugh who was dismissed after 18 seasons and a Super Bowl victory.
ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that seven NFL teams contacted Harbaugh’s agent within 45 minutes of the news being released. Emily Mayfield was one of the likes on Schefter’s post, showing her support for Harbaugh getting a new opportunity.
Baker Mayfield’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers though, one be one of the teams interested in hiring Harbaugh to lead their team.
