Billy Horschel and several other top-ranked players are fighting to qualify for the 2026 Masters. The top 50 players in the OWGR at the end of the year will secure their spot in the major at Augusta National.
This week, some players will compete at the Hero World Challenge, while there are also two DP World Tour events that could help players fighting for the Masters to secure their spots at the major. Horschel is the only golfer playing at the Hero World Challenge who is not qualified for the Masters so far, and if he manages to have a decent finish in the Bahamas, he could secure his spot at the major. He is currently ranked 45th in the OWGR and has to maintain a position within the top 50 by the end of the year.
Min Woo Lee, who is ranked 42nd in the OWGR, is also looking forward to earning an invitation to play at the Masters 2026. He is playing at the Australian Open and is looking to have a strong finish at the DP World Tour event. Other players who are fighting for the spots include Si Woo Kim and Matt McCarty, who are both playing at the Australian Open.
