“Bo Nix can be stopped”: Legion of Boom member throws shade at Sean Payton and Broncos despite 10-game winning streak

With the NFL regular season still having some games to go, it’s already the best performance for Sean Payton since he was named the Denver Broncos coach in 2023. Having won 10 straight games, the Broncos are 11-2, the best record by any team in the league so far this season.

However, Richard Sherman is not overly sold on the Broncos due to their offensive performance. In a Monday episode of the “Richard Sherman” podcast, the Seattle Seahawks’ “Legion of Boom” member said the offense poses no threat ahead of the game against the Green Bay Packers.

“The Packers just had a really physical division game,” Sherman said (1:14:12). “And I think they’ll look at things from this Raiders tape and understand that this Broncos offense, they aren’t world beaters. They can be stopped. Bo Nix can be stopped.

“I like Harvey, but I don’t think there’s anything about this Broncos offense that scares defenses. And if I’m Jeff Hafley, I’m looking to be really aggressive, and go after this young quarterback and see if we can get him to make a mistake.”

The defense has been the Broncos’ main strength throughout the season, winning games for the team amid the struggles on offense. Sean Payton’s team at the end of Week 14 ranks fourth in total defense, conceding an average of 282 yards and 18.1 points per game.

Sean Payton offers his view on the Chiefs dropping out of the AFC West race

For the first time since 2015, there will be a winner not named the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. The Chiefs dropped out of the race following the 20-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. Sean Payton gave his view on the development in his media availability on Monday.

“Everything right now has that work in progress sign,” Payton said. “I recognize the question and that the Chiefs lost last night, that eliminated them from winning the division, and yet, we’ve got a stretch here with some real good football teams coming in.

“Focusing on what we can do to win the division. The Chargers are very much alive in that battle. And then, furthermore, what we can do to give ourselves the best feed possible. And I think I’ve said that a number of times.”

The Broncos are in the driving seat in the division and have a strong chance of winning it, considering their form. The Los Angeles Chargers, who hold an 8-4 record, will look to challenge them for the title, but all indications suggest Sean Payton’s team will be winning the division.
