Brooks Koepka’s exit from LIV Golf has left fans and experts of the sport with one question: Will the PGA Tour allow a golfer of Koepka’s stature to return? While there are mixed opinions about the same, Crushers GC captain Bryson DeChambeau seems against it.

Recently, DeChambeau spoke in an exclusive interview with Tom Hobbs from Flushing It Golf. During this interview, Hobbs asked DeChambeau various questions, including his thoughts on whether the PGA Tour should allow Koepka to return.

While the 2-time US Open winner did not give a clear answer, his statements seemed like he was against the PGA Tour letting Brooks Koepka return. DeChambeau said:

“I don’t know, man. I don’t know what they should allow or not… If they’re going to be doing it by the book, they should do it by the book and not give any special exemption. But if there’s a special exemption, it definitely opens the doors for others to do the same, which, you know, it’s a slippery slope for sure.”

In the same interview as above, Bryson DeChambeau also labeled Brooks Koepka’s exit from LIV Golf as a ‘shock.’ However, DeChambeau also showed plenty of wisdom by saying he understood why people make certain decisions, and further mentioned that these decisions need to be respected.

Brandel Chamblee believes the PGA Tour shouldn’t allow Brooks Koepka to return without consequences

When Brooks Koepka’s LIV Golf exit became official, many fans were excited to see what Brandel Chamblee had to say. After all, Chamblee, a veteran golfer and analyst, has been a vocal critic of the PIF-backed league for quite some time now.

Chamblee, to the delight of many, did speak about Koepka’s situation and dropped quite a fiery take. The 63-year-old mentioned that Koepka must not be allowed to return to the PGA Tour without suffering any consequences. On X, Chamblee wrote:

“Allowing Brooks Koepka to return to the PGA Tour with no consequence, would undermine the very meritocratic foundations that make the PGA Tour legitimate – not because of who he is, but because of what his return with signal. This is not about retribution, it is about precedent. If Koepka can leave, helping to destabilize the ecosystem by joining LIV golf, and then return instantly because of talent or popularity, the message is clear: rules are for the replaceable, not the exceptional. This is corrosive.”

Further in his detailed tweet, Chamblee wrote ways in which the PGA Tour could accommodate Brooks Koepka’s return. Chamblee wrote that Koepka could be made to requalify for the PGA Tour, and further suggested that the ex-LIV Golfer could have limited season eligibility.
