Cam Ward was drafted at No. 1 in 2025. He has played every down for the Titans this season while getting hit more than almost any quarterback in football.
The former Miami Hurricanes star had his answer ready when asked about resolutions for the new year. He kept things simple after a rookie season that threw everything at him except consistent wins.
A reporter asked Ward on Wednesday what he wants to accomplish in 2026.
“Hopefully, winning some more football games,” Ward said.

Tennessee will finish the season on Sunday in Jacksonville. The Titans (3-13) have struggled; however, Ward’s play has picked up considerably as the calendar turned from fall to winter.
He threw for 3,117 yards to break the team’s rookie passing record. Ward’s touchdown-to-interception ratio also improved dramatically, with zero picks in his last three games. His completion rate is 59.8% with 15 scores against seven interceptions.
Cam Ward talks about staying healthy through entire rookie season with Titans

Cam Ward addressed what it means to take every snap as a first-year player.
“For sure (means a lot),” Ward said. “For everyone, both sides of the ball, myself individually and for the franchise. It’s something that I don’t take lightly because every time you step on the field you never know when it could be your last down. “
So, I’m blessed. It’s God and my O-line that’s keeping me healthy the entire way and I know they’re going to keep on doing it.”
The quarterback’s durability stands out in Tennessee’s recent history. He became the seventh player to start a full season at the position since the franchise relocated to the city in 1997. Chicago and Cleveland are the only teams with fewer such seasons over the same stretch.
The Titans scored at least 24 points in four consecutive games to close the year. They did it once in the first 13 games. The improvement coincided with Ward finding his rhythm in the pocket and getting the ball out faster under pressure.
