‘I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.’

As one fan put it: ‘Carrie’s about to have the whole country talking. Iconic move or controversial queen?’

One person said: ‘Disgusting, thought she had morals. It was all a sham,’ while another thanked her via X, formerly Twitter.

Carrie is set to perform the song on January 20th with The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club after the presidential oath of office is administered to Trump by the Chief of Justice of the United States.

Another called it ‘perfect’ while another said she was a ‘solid choice.’

‘No Kid Rock or Jason Aldean using Carrie Underwood to drawn [sic] the rating for Trump, I’m not going to watch a convict take the oath, what a joke’ someone wrote on X.’

Kid Rock and Jason have both been very public about their support of Trump.

Another had harsh words for the rest of Hollywood upon hearing the news about Carrie.

‘Nice to know that she’s not a Hollywood blood sucking Vampire,’ they wrote.

‘Good for Carrie Underwood,’ a Trump follower exclaimed on the social media site.

One X user made it a point to insult Taylor Swift in their tweet – as the singer was very vocal about her support of Kamala Harris and her bid to the presidency.

‘Sorry Taylor Swift you didn’t make the cut,’ they wrote harshly.

One person brought up a 2017 skit Carrie took part in with her CMAs co-host Brad Paisley.

The X user had written: ‘How convenient for her liberal a**. Bend the knee, stupid b****.’

In 2017, Carrie and Brad poked fun at Trump’s tweets at the time.

‘Now Brad, I don’t know if you heard about this, but the CMA has given us some “guidelines” with specific topics to avoid,’ she said during the live broadcast.

‘So we can’t be doing any of our silly little songs because this year’s show is a “politics-free zone.”‘ she added.

At that point, Brad starts playing the guitar and sings to the beat of Carrie’s song Before He Cheats – while using new lyrics.

‘Right now, he’s probably in his PJs, watching the cable news, reaching for his cellphone. Right now, he’s probably asking Siri how in the hell do you spell Pocahontas,’ Brad sang.

Carrie reacted simply with: ‘Well, here we go.’

Brad continued: ‘In the middle of the night, from the privacy of a gold-plated White House toilet seat, he writes little Bob Corker, NFL and covfefe.’

At that point, they both laughed about ‘covfefe’ which was what is thought to be a spelling error that Trump, 78, did in a tweet he shared after becoming President in January 2017.

‘And it’s fun to watch, yeah, thats for sure, until little rocked man stars a nuclear war. And then maybe next time he’ll think before he tweets,’ Brad sang.

In 2019, Carrie spoke to The Guardian, where she said that she likes to ‘stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins.’

She added: ‘It’s crazy. Everybody tries to sum everything up and put a bow on it, like it’s black and white. And it’s not like that.’

The inauguration is set to take place at noon on January 20, 2025.
