The idiom “so close, yet so far” perfectly summarizes Charley Hull and Michael Brennan’s week at the Grant Thornton Invitational 2025. After three rounds of golf at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida, Hull and Brennan tied for second place right behind tournament winners Lauren Coughlin & Andrew Novak.

While Hull and Brennan also held the lead after Round 1, the duo could never really capitalize. However, not winning the tournament does not mean they didn’t have a good week. On Instagram, Hull uploaded photos with Brennan and mentioned she had “good fun all week” with the PGA Tour pro.

Charley Hull wrote:

“T2 at @grantthorntoninv 👊 Good fun all week with @m.brennan22 🏌️‍♀️🏌🏽‍♂️”

Last week was the second time Charley Hull teed off to compete in the Grant Thornton Invitational at Tiburón Golf Club. Previously, Hull had competed in this tournament in the inaugural edition, which took place in 2023. At that time, Hull teed up with Justin Rose, and the duo tied for 9th place.

Charley Hull & Michael Brennan praised each other after the Grant Thornton Invitational 2025

Charley Hull and Michael Brennan teamed up for the first time at the Grant Thornton Invitational 2025. However, the chemistry between these two players was never missing as they managed to delight fans with great golfing skills throughout the Grant Thornton Invitational week.

While Hull also admitted having “fun all week” as mentioned above, Michael Brennan also had some words of praise for Hull. In the post-round interview on the final day of the tournament, Brennan called the 2025 Kroger Queen City Championship winner a ‘baller.’

He said:

“Yeah, Charley’s a baller. I didn’t really have my best stuff today, really loose with the irons, but she, I mean, kept us in it pretty much single handedly, so it was pretty impressive.”

Hull also appreciated Brennan’s game in the post-round interview. She said:

“I really enjoyed playing with Michael,” she said. “He’s got a great game and it’s just so much fun. We said this was probably one of the most fun weeks of the year and it was great. Obviously we were just trying to hole out on the last hole, but they played great. I just had such a fun week, so thank you.”

The 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational had a total purse of $4,000,000. Hull and Brennan received a payout of $380,000 from this purse. This payout was the second highest after tournament winners Andrew Novak and Lauren Coughlin, who received $1,000,000.
