Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie Woods, recently encountered a situation where he narrowly escaped injury. The young golfer was almost hit by a recovery shot during the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship.

Charlie Woods is in Miami, Florida, for the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship, which is being played from January 3. On Sunday, January 4, he carded a 1-over 72 in the second round to aggregate at 3-over.

During the second round of the event, Charlie Woods was trying to clear the ball on the 11th hole when his shot hit a root and came back. The ball came toward Tiger Woods’ son as he dropped his club and tried to cover his face.

Eventually, Charlie Woods managed to make a par on the 11th hole. Following the hole, Tiger Woods joked about the shot and referred to it as a “hell of a shot” to his son.

Following the second day’s action, Charlie was tied for 22nd and was fourteen strokes off the lead. Giovanni Daniele Binaghi fired a 2-under 69 and was at 11-under and had a four-shot lead over William O’Riordan.

Notably, Tiger Woods won here in 1991, and names like Sergio Garcia, Mark Calcavecchia, Bubba Watson, Camilo Villegas, Kevin Na, Joaquin Niemann and Karl Vilips have also earned a win here.
