Comedian Katt Williams has achieved a lot in his life, between being one of the world’s most successful standup comedians, an Emmy award winner, and appearing in dozens of movies.
Now, the Cincinnati-born star has a new accolade to add to his list: a street named after him.
This came after the city of Cincinnati unveiled “Katt Williams Way” in Avondale on Saturday.
Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney represented the city as it unveiled the new designation for Reading Road with a sign at the street’s intersection with Maple Avenue.
Williams grew up on Maple Avenue. He also spent time in Dayton and Florida throughout his childhood.The official name of Reading Road will not be changed.
However, it will from now on honorarily also be known as Katt Williams Way.
Williams was there himself to attend the unveiling ceremony on Saturday, where he was the very last speaker before the sign’s cloth covering was at last removed.
The actor has played roles in popular movies such as Friday After Next, Scary Movie V, Norbit and One of Them Days.
His last comedy special, “Katt Williams: Woke Foke,” was one of the most-watched Netflix comedy specials of 2024. Williams nowadays resides in Calabasas, California.
