Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys suffered a disappointing 34-26 loss at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in Week 15. Following this defeat, reports suggest that they now have a 1% chance of qualifying for this season’s playoffs.
The Cowboys have just three games left in the season. To avoid potential injuries, fans started questioning whether Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer would bench Dak Prescott for backup Joe Milton for the remainder of the 2025 campaign.
During Wednesday’s press conference, Schottenheimer provided an answer to this question. He stated that they plan to move ahead with Prescott as the QB1 to end the season on a winning note.
“Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer made it clear when asked about potentially playing backup QB to Joe Milton at some point these final three games: “I want to win,” So the plan will be to play Dak Prescott the rest of the season,” The Athletic’s Jon Machota tweeted.
