
Darius Slay announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday. He had an impressive career, playing for three different teams in 13 seasons.
His wife, Jennifer Slay, shared a heartfelt message for him after he announced his retirement. She shared a slew of pictures in a collage and penned a four-word message for him.
“Proud of you 2,” she wrote.

Jennifer Slay has been an avid supporter of the NFL star throughout his career. She added pictures of him while he played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She added a romantic snap of him kissing her on the sidelines. She also added a snap of Darius Slay celebrating the Super Bowl win from last season.
Slay was the second-round pick in the 2013 draft by the Detroit Lions. He played seven seasons with the Lions and then joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. For the last season, he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Darius Slay pens a heartfelt message after retiring from the NFL
Darius Slay shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram account on Monday after he announced his retirement. He shared a video offering a quick summary of his NFL career. Along with that, Slay penned a long message.
“Dear football, I wanna thank you for all you’ve done for me,” Slay wrote. “I’ve been blessed to play the game I loved since I was 5yrs old for an amazing 13yrs at the highest level. Football was my peace, my joy, my everything. This game put me in a position to help take care of my family and loved ones and I’m forever grateful.
“It’s hard to say goodbye, but God has a new chapter for me and I’m ready to turn the page and start my new journey. To all my BigPlay fans, I will always appreciate the love and support y’all have given to me. I couldn’t have done it without you. Just A kid from Brunswick, GA with BIG dreams…✊🏽 BigPlay on and off the field! We Out✌🏾 🎥 @jacksonts1,” he wrote.
In his 13 NFL seasons, Darius Slay was a first-team All-Pro in 2017 and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection. He won the Super Bowl championship while playing for the Eagles.
In his career, he made 655 total tackles, two forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries. He also recorded five defensive touchdowns.
