Kevin Stefanski was officially named the Atlanta Falcons coach on Saturday. He has gotten a new job just two weeks after he was shown the exit door by the Cleveland Browns, replacing Raheem Morris, who parted ways with the Falcons earlier this month after just two seasons.
However, not many fans in Atlanta are convinced by the hiring of Stefanski following the way he ended his time with the Browns. The hiring decision got D.C. Young Fly, who grew up as a Falcons fan, ranting online. The actor and comedian expressed his dissatisfaction on social media while disclosing his desire for Shedeur Sanders in Atlanta.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders reacted to the comic rant by D.C. Young Fly on Instagram. Sanders, who played for the Falcons during his NFL days, commented on the post with multiple laughing emojis, signaling his agreement with the points made by the comedian.

Kevin Stefanski is coming off a job that created some kind of bad blood between him and Coach Prime. In his final season with the Browns, there was a lot of controversy on how he treated Shedeur Sanders, who ended up as his last starting quarterback at the franchise.
There wasn’t a major public outburst between the two during those times, but the ill feeling was evident. Deion Sanders also dropped a cryptic post on social media following Stefanski’s firing.
Kevin Stefanski on becoming the Falcons coach
Kevin Stefanski gave his first words after becoming the 20th coach of the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday. In the statement released by the franchise announcing his hiring, the coach expressed his feelings at taking the new challenge in Atlanta, following his time in Cleveland.
“I’m beyond thrilled to be charged with leading this iconic franchise,” Stefanski said. “I am grateful to Mr. Blank and Matt Ryan for trusting me to coach this football team and there are many talented players on our roster that I cannot wait to coach.
“We share a vision for this football team that I believe will make Falcons fans everywhere proud. We will get to work immediately, putting together a first-class coaching staff and working hard to get to know all the great people that are so important to getting us all where we want to go.”
Kevin Stefanski ended his six-season tenure with the Browns with a 45-56 record, taking the team to the playoffs three times. He was named the NFL Coach of the Year twice, a testament to his impact on the franchise. He is hoping to bring something better to the Falcons.
