WrestleMania 42 Main Event is Shockingly Changing!
Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby has been generating trade buzz since the end of the 2025 season. It all started after the team decided to bench him for the last two games of the season due to a knee injury. This caused tension as the defensive end reportedly was not happy with the handling of the situation.
While Crosby has not formally requested a trade, the buzz surrounding him this offseason has been strong. On Thursday’s episode of the “Home Grown” podcast, retired Raiders quarterback Derek Carr shared his thoughts on the situation. He criticized the team and minority owner Tom Brady while highlighting the five-time Pro Bowler’s importance.
“The Raiders have one of the best, if not the best defensive lineman, playing the run, playing the pass, disruptive, motor, everything,” Carr said (Timestamp-12:10). “Aura, leader, heart and soul of your team. So, whatever you may be doing, as soon as Maxx Crosby leaves your building if you trade him, there is not only a hole in leadership, there’s not only a hole in your heart and the soul of your football team, there’s a hole in your effort, there’s a hole in your accountability.
“So this is my long winded version of why I think it’s a bad choice. … But in today’s day and age, well, they would say, ‘Well, we have him and we’re not playing as well.’ … all I’m saying is you’re not just losing a defensive end if you trade him, right? You’re losing a lot of aspects of that building. If that’s the route you want to go, that’s your choice.”

Last season, in 15 games, Maxx Crosby recorded 73 total tackles, 10 sacks and 28 tackles for loss. However, the Raiders had a disappointing campaign, finishing dead last in the AFC West with a 3-14 record. First year coach Pete Carroll was fireed and Klint Kubiak was brought in as his replacement.

NFL insider names seven teams reportedly showing an interest in Maxx Crosby
NFL insider Albert Breer believes that Maxx Crosby’s stint with the Raiders is ending this offseason. As per an article he wrote for SI on Monday, seven teams in the league are reportedly showing an interest in acquiring the defensive end.
“I’d lean towards a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week,” Breer wrote. “But there’s going to have to be some needle-threading.
“We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and Rams keeping tabs on his availability.”
Crosby signed a three-year extension worth $106.5 million with the team last March. Thus, he is under contract through 2028. However, Breer argues that the Raiders could part ways with Crosby for more capital as they continue their roster rebuild.
