“DO NOT trash-talk Josh Allen”: Kay Adams issues warning for Joe Burrow-led Bengals amid Bills QB’s heated scuffle with Cam Heyward

Quarterback Josh Allen and defensive tackle Cam Heyward had a couple of altercations during the Buffalo Bills’ 26-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The two would go on to blame each other for the chaotic event in their postgame interview.

Kay Adams discussed the scenario when she hosted Buffalo cornerback Christian Benford on “Up & Adams” on Tuesday. While speaking with Benford, Adams disclosed what her reaction looked like when Allen and Hey were visibly confronting one another on the field.

“I was watching this happen between him and Cam Heyward, and I’m just like, ‘You are literally turning up the heat on Josh.’ Josh eats this for breakfast, like he likes this kind of trash talk,” Adams said.

Kay Adams further shared what the reaction was on social media to Josh Allen being provoked by Cam Heyward during the game. The general feeling was that the Joe Burrow-led Steelers needed to be extremely nice to the quarterback in order not to unleash the fire in him.

“I think that there’s definitely an idea out there on Twitter, like, ‘Bengals, shut up. Bengals, you want to get a win here? Tell him you like his hair. Tell him you like his shoes. Compliment. How’s your family for Thanksgiving? Is your Christmas tree up, Josh Allen?’ Don’t get in Josh’s face. That’s just like, it just makes him wild.”

Jim Kelly believes the Bills have a chance with Josh Allen on the field

The Buffalo Bills haven’t had it so easy lately, as they’ve lost two of their last four games. The weakness in the team’s defense has been exploited, while there have been some issues in the passing game. Nonetheless, Jim Kelly believes the team does have a chance as long as they have Josh Allen on the field.

“We’re a little over halfway through, and I am not 100% sure,” Kelly said. “We played good, and in some things we don’t. I really don’t know at this point, but of course, I’m still on that bandwagon. I will never jump off of it.

“As long as we have number 17 on the field, I think we have a great chance. But hopefully we will continue to get better. Because, as you well know, when you head to the later parts of the season, you need that running game to go. And last week against Pittsburgh, we had the running game going.”

The Bills were projected as a Super Bowl contender ahead of the season following Josh Allen’s heroic MVP display in 2024. They lived up to the billing early in the season, ranking among the best teams in the league. However, the hopes have begun to drop in recent outings.
