He wore a red cap emblazoned with ‘Gulf of America,’ a nod to Trump’s contentious renaming of the Gulf of Mexico, and humorously layered it over a black hat, quipping, ‘My hat has a hat!’

Trump humorously remarked, ‘Elon, I admire your dual hat,’ which led to a surge of memes on social media and the trending term ‘Double Hat Day.’ Meanwhile, some observers were more concerned with what seemed to be a scar on Musk’s neck, igniting speculation and worry.

Critics raised concerns about Musk’s informal clothing during a formal meeting, referencing his widely circulated February image in the Oval Office donning a large MAGA hat. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed worries about propriety, stating, ‘The president appreciated it.’

Musk’s latest act once more obscured the boundaries between politics,  celebrity, and satire, resulting in a public that was both entertained and perplexed.
