Brooks Koepka caught the people’s attention with his impressive shot in the third round of the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open. The American golfer returned to play on the PGA Tour after spending four seasons on the LIV Golf. He teed it up at this week’s event in San Diego.

He made the cut in the tournament and started the game on the South Course of the Torrey Pines on the tenth hole on Saturday. On the first hole, a par-4 measuring 452 yards, he hit the first shot, but the ball landed on a concrete path on the sidelines.

He hit the ball again, and it went straight, landing just 11 feet 6 inches away from the hole. The PGA Tour had shared a video of the five-time major winner’s impressive shot on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

However, Brooks Koepka ended up making a bogey on the hole. The American golfer started the game on Saturday on the tenth hole with a bogey and then added a double bogey on the next.

However, he then bounced back and made three birdies and a bogey. On the back nine, he added two bogeys and two birdies for a 1-over-par 73. He was tied for 61st place ahead of the final round of the event, which is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1.

Brooks Koepka will tee off for the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open on Sunday at 9:04 am ET. He will tee off on the tenth hole in a group with Tom Hoge and Kensei Hirata.

Brooks Koepka opens up on playing at the WM Phoenix Open

After this week’s Farmers Insurance Open, Brooks Koepka is committed to playing next week at the WM Phoenix Open. He opened up about the upcoming PGA Tour event on Saturday after the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open. He said:

“Playing well. Putting, I’ve never felt comfortable on poa. You just miss a few and you’ve got zero confidence. I don’t know, today I felt every three-, four-footer was slightly downhill and I felt like it kind of went a little bit of both ways.

“I tried to firm ’em all and take the break out to still be aggressive like I normally am, but I wasn’t even hitting the hole. I don’t know, I’m just going to chalk it up to just a bad day, but I’m happy with everything else,” he added.

This week, the Farmers Insurance Open is nearing its wrap. Justin Rose took the lead in the game after three rounds. He started the game with an opening round of 62 and then played rounds of 65 and 68. Joel Dahmen settled in second place, followed by Ryo Hisatsune and Si Woo Kim tied for third place.
