Golf Channel host Eamon Lynch opened up about the PGA Tour statement following Brooks Koepka’s exit from LIV Golf. In the unexpected turn of events, the American golfer has decided to leave LIV Golf ahead of the start of the 2026 season.

The Saudi league made the announcement on Tuesday, and soon after, the PGA Tour released a statement, in which they sent their best wishes to Koepka.

“Brooks Koepka is a highly accomplished professional, and we wish him and his family continued success. The PGA Tour continues to offer the best professional golfers the most competitive, challenging, and lucrative environment in which to pursue greatness,” the PGA Tour said.

PGA Tour Communications shared the Tour statement on its X (formerly Twitter) account, which was reshared by Lynch on his social media handle. In the caption, he wrote:

“Much mockery of a statement that seemingly says nothing. The fact it was ready to go 23 mins after LIV announced Koepka’s departure says a great deal. The Tour knew it was coming and intended to signal he’s welcome back, pending the internal housekeeping process to get there.”

As reported by ESPN, Brooks Koepka has informed about his decision to leave LIV Golf to the PGA Tour before making it public. He had a successful time playing on the American circuit but was banned from the league after he joined LIV Golf.

As reported by ESPN, he had also not applied to renew his membership before the 2022-23 season. It would be interesting to see what the future holds for the five-time major winner and whether he will be returning to play on the PGA Tour.
