The PGA Tour and DP World Tour are two very different beasts but they do give golfers around the world the chance to compete and win in different environments.
With the PGA side of things very much American focused, the DP World Tour offers players the chance to travel the globe and compete everywhere.
With Andrew Johnston among those teeing it up, there is plenty of interest for fans of UK golf in the Far East.
Indeed, along with Johnston, the brother of former US Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick, Alex Fitzpatrick, is also in the field and he is firmly in contention for a first DP World win.
Alex Fitzpatrick among six leaders in Korea after PGA Tour struggles
Alex Fitzpatrick very much knows he is in the shadow of his older brother Matthew.
Fitzpatrick senior has won twice on the PGA Tour – including a US Open – while he’s also been part of Ryder Cup winning teams for Europe.
Younger brother Alex, meanwhile, has struggled to get success and he is without a high profile win in his pro career so far, albeit he did win on the Challenge Tour in 2023.
Now, though, Alex is firmly in contention to win his first event on the DP World Tour after two rounds of the Genesis Championship in South Korea.
Remarkably, Fitzpatrick is in a six-way tie for the lead at minus-six as he looks for that first win. A second round 67 included five birdies for the Englishman, who will head out as the main group in round three.
Fitzpatrick has had limited success in terms of events when he has played the PGA Tour. Despite a fine T17 at The Open in 2023, he has struggled to build and in his last five PGA Tour events, has failed to make a single cut.

Alex Fitzpatrick’s DP World Tour record
There has been plenty of chat about Fitzpatrick junior over the years and some would suggest that, talent wise, he might have what it takes to usurp his brother.
However, as of 2025, he has yet to back that up and he is without a win in 75 DP World Tour events.
He has been gradually building, though, and after finishing inside the top ten five times in 2024, Fitzpatrick has added another two 4th to 10th finishes and 3rd place in 2025 so far.
If he can keep his head and keep in the mix after the third round in Korea, then Fitzpatrick will very much fancy his chances of finally getting that elusive win.
