Guadalajara Open Akron 2025: Schedule of play, Prize Money, Draw, Results and Predictions

The 2025 Guadalajara Open Akron is the first WTA tournament that follows the US Open, slated to run from September 8-14, 2025 in Zapopan, Mexico.
A WTA 500 event, the Guadalajara Open is a hard court tournament that will feature a 28-player singles field and a 16-team doubles draw. Originally a WTA 1000 event, the tournament was downgraded to the 500 level in 2024.
Polish tennis star Magdalena Frech defeated Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki to win the title at last year’s edition, claiming her maiden WTA title in the process. The Lodz native will return to defend her title, and will be joined by several talented WTA stars. World No.11 Emma Navarro was the top seed at the event; the American has had a subpar North American hard court season. Navarro suffered an opening round loss to German Ella Seidel at the 2025 Cincinnati Open, following a third round exit at last week’s Canadian Open. She has since withdrawn.
