“Her name and my name shouldn’t be in same sentence”: Mike Vrabel responds to reports of Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk refusing to trade with Patriots

"Her name and my name shouldn

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel finally broke his silence on reports of how Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk refused to do trade deals with his team. On Monday, on “The Greg Hill Show”, he was asked if these reports were factually accurate.

Mike Vrabel responded by refusing to link his name with his former boss.

“I haven’t talked to Amy since the day she fired me,” Vrabel said. “So her name and my name should not be in the same sentence together. Cause I haven’t talked to her since the day she fired me.”

Mike Vrabel served as the coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2018 to 2023. During this six-season stint, he led them to three playoff appearances. The Titans also competed in the AFC championship game in 2019, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, after an underwhelming 6-11 campaign in 2023, the Titans fired Vrabel and brought in Brian Callahan as his replacement. However, the team could not flourish under the new coach. The team decided to fire Callahan after a disappointing 1-5 start to the season this year.

On the other hand, Vrabel took over as the head coach of the New England Patriots after serving as a coaching and personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns last season.

So far, he has helped the team to an 8-2 record and a seven-game winning streak after Sunday’s 28-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots sit on top of the AFC East standings and are one of the favorites to make the playoffs this season.

NFL analyst heaps praise on Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye for the Patriots’ 2025 season success

On Monday’s episode of “NFL on CBS”, analyst Pete Prisco highlighted how Vrabel is a big factor in the way the Patriots have emerged as a surprise playoff contender this season.

He also highlighted the chemistry between him and his quarterback, Drake Maye, while taking a subtle jab at ex-coach Bill Belichick.

“He has had success elsewhere,” Prisco said. “If you have a great coach and a great quarterback, you’re gonna win games in this league.

“They have a great coach now and they have a great quarterback on his way to being a truly special quarterback, so you’re gonna win a lot of games that way. Maybe Belichick was the problem in New England after all.”

Bill Belichick enjoyed a lot of success with the Patriots and retired quarterback Tom Brady, winning six Super Bowl championships together. However, after he left to play for the Bucs, the team’s performance took a massive drop. After a disappointing 4-13 campaign in 2023, Belichick parted ways with the team.

Mike Vrabel and his team are next scheduled to face the Jets on Thursday. Can they continue to extend their winning streak in Week 11?
