That left the star-studded field to play for the $3.25 million purse over the remaining four days with only the CME Globe Tour Championship left to play next week in Naples, Fla. Sweden’s Linn Grant stood tall above them all on Sunday after shooting consecutive 65s on the weekend to top Jennifer Kupcho by three shots and capture her second LPGA title. The 26-year-old grew up idolizing Annika Sorenstam, the tournament’s namesake, and it was fitting that she was able to validate her first win two years ago with another, this time earning $487,500.
Gaby Lopez finished third and Charley Hull was in a group that tied for fourth place. World No. 2 Nelly Korda, still looking for her first victory this year after winning seven times last season, bogeyed the final hole to shoot 69 and tied for 15th place.
One of the three sponsor exemptions went to Kai Trump, President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, who recently committed to play college golf at the University of Miami. She shot 83-85 and finished last in the field by six shots.
