Having won the Super Bowl, the next important item on Sam Darnold’s checklist is now his wedding to fiancée Katie Hoofnagle. In a post-game conversation with his parents shared by the NFL on Friday, the Seahawks quarterback was heard talking about his excitement for the upcoming big day, while revealing the timeline for the ceremony.

“We’ve got about a month until the wedding. I was just telling Maria Taylor, the one who interviewed me,” Darnold said. “I was like, yeah, is it weird that I’m thinking about the wedding right now and that it’s in a month, and I’m like, frickin, I’m excited, but also just, it’s a lot, we got a lot to do. But, it’s exciting stuff.”

While it isn’t clear when Darnold and Hoofnagle started dating, according to PEOPLE, the couple went public with their relationship in 2023. Two years later, the couple got engaged in July 2025. The quarterback proposed to Hoofnagle at a beautiful beachside location, later announcing the relationship milestone with an Instagram post.

Along with her pictures with the quarterback and his teammates, including some candid memories from the parade, the influencer penned down a heartfelt message in the caption of the post. Expressing her love for the Seahawks and the Darnold, Hoofnagle wrote:

“I love this team, I love the 12s, I love Sam, & I love Seattle.”
