Wyndham Clark may have someone cheering for him from the sidelines, but the American golfer joked this week that he would not mind having a “week-long girlfriend” while playing. As it turns out, he was talking about his drivers.

The remark came during his appearance on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams show ahead of The Players Championship, where Clark spoke about the number of driver changes he has made this season.

“Sometimes it’s nice to have a week-long girlfriend… I am kidding. You know, I haven’t found the right one. And when you find the right one, you lock it down, OK?” Clark continued. “We’re still talking about drivers, right?” Clark said.

Clark has already tried several different drivers early in the 2026 season. Since he is an equipment free agent, he has been free to experiment with different brands.

He began the season using the Ping G430 LST before also trying the Ping G440 K. Clark then experimented with a Titleist TSR driver before moving to a TaylorMade Qi4D at the Genesis Invitational. He is sticking with the TaylorMade Qi4D driver at TPC Sawgrass this week, though he has added a Titan shaft to the setup.

It is already his fourth driver change of the season. Wyndham Clark said being a free agent gives him the freedom to experiment.

“I’m a free agent, and you know, sometimes it’s nice to spice things up,” Clark replied. “As you said, the honeymoon stage can be really nice.”

The Players Championship will be Wyndham Clark’s sixth start of the 2026 season. He has made the cut in each of his first five events but is still searching for his first win since the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Clark also came close at TPC Sawgrass before, finishing runner-up in 2024.

Who is Wyndham Clark dating?

While Wyndham Clark joked about having a “week-long girlfriend” on the course, the PGA Tour star has been in a steady relationship off it. Clark is currently dating Alicia Bogdanski, who has often been seen supporting him during tournaments.

The two first met in 2021 through mutual friends. Although they initially kept their relationship private, Bogdanski began appearing more publicly during Clark’s rise on the PGA Tour, including cheering him on during his win at the 2023 U.S. Open.

Bogdanski graduated from Arizona State University in 2012 with a degree in psychology. During her time at the university, she was also part of the cheerleading team.

She has also appeared in golf-related media coverage. Bogdanski featured in season three of Netflix’s Full Swing, where she was shown supporting Clark during his push for a spot on the United States Olympic golf team. The scenes followed Clark during key events, including The Players Championship in Florida and the Masters in Georgia.
