
Atlanta Falcons linebacker James Pearce Jr. was arrested in Florida after a car chase on Saturday. The Falcons rookie has been arrested over alleged domestic dispute charges involving his ex-girlfriend, Rickea Jackson.
The Falcons rookie had a domestic dispute with Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson and has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated stalking. He is also facing charges for eluding police officers, aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer.
Fox Sports South Florida’s Andy Slater reported that Pearce Jr.’s charges come after he crashed his Lamborghini into his ex-girlfriend’s car multiple times. Slater wrote in a X post:
“SLATER SCOOP: James Pearce Jr. is accused of intentionally crashing his Lamborghini into his ex-girlfriend’s car multiple times, trying to stop her from getting to a police station, law-enforcement sources tell me. That alleged incident led to cops chasing the NFL star.”

Pearce reportedly fled the scene and crashed his vehicle during the police chase before being arrested. The 22-year-old was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after his arrest on Saturday.

Falcons rookie James Pearce Jr. allegedly stalked his ex-girlfriend
Andy Slater also reported that the Falcons rookie stalked Rickea Jackson from his car and attempted to get into the car. Slater wrote on X:
“This entire situation started after Pearce Jr. allegedly stalked his ex from his car and tried to get into her car at an intersection, I’m told. She sped away, but he still continued to go after her.”

Although the Falcons acknowledged James Pearce Jr.’s arrest, they refused to comment on the incident.
“We are aware of an incident involving James Pearce Jr., in Miami,” the Falcons said in a statement. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will not have any further comment on an open legal matter at this time.”
Pearce was selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft and finished third in AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.
