John Daly’s son set for PGA Tour debut at the Puerto Rico Open

John Daly’s son, John Daly II, is all set to make his PGA Tour debut. The amateur golfer received a sponsor exemption to compete at the 2026 Puerto Rico Open. He will be joined by Blades Brown and Miles Russell, who were also granted sponsor exemptions for the event.

Notably, the Puerto Rico Open is a regular PGA Tour event featuring a stellar field. The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Grand Reserve Golf Club from March 5 to 8. The tournament will feature the likes of Matt Wallace, David Lipsky, Sam Ryder, and others.

John Daly II has an impressive record playing as an amateur. However, he is looking forward to his debut on the PGA Tour. He has previously played with his father at the PNC Championship, a popular father-son duo challenge.

In 2025, Team Daly had a good time playing at the PNC Championship. Team Kuchar won the event, while Team Daly settled in a tie for second place with Team Love. Team Daly had won the event back in 2021 by registering a two-stroke win over Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie Woods.

Ahead of the upcoming Puerto Rico Open, John Daly began with practice sessions this week. He played at the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club. He offered a glimpse of his outing on his Instagram account on Saturday. John Daly reacted to his son’s video by resharing it on his Instagram account with a fire emoji.
