Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster celebrated Monday’s 28-7 win over Washington with a message for his team and his fiancée, Laura Kruk.
The receiver rejoined Kansas City in 2024 after a brief stop in New England.
Smith-Schuster posted a set of photos on X on Tuesday from the Week 8 victory at Arrowhead Stadium. It included one where he and Kruk strolled while holding hands on the field.
“Man I love this team and my girl,” Smith-Schuster tweeted.

The win brought Kansas City to 5-3, marking a midseason comeback after a 0-2 start. Patrick Mahomes overcame a shaky first half, which included two interceptions. He ended the game with 299 passing yards and three touchdowns.
JuJu Smith-Schuster’s role adjusts as Chiefs’ receiver depth returns

JuJu Smith-Schuster appeared in 21 offensive snaps on Monday, his fewest of the season, catching both of his targets for 29 yards. It marked the second straight week of limited usage as the team works in a healthy group of receivers.
With Rashee Rice back from suspension and Travis Kelce anchoring the passing attack, Kansas City’s offensive balance has shifted. The tight end’s touchdown catch tied him with Priest Holmes for the most scores in franchise history. Rice added another end zone grab. Xavier Worthy also returned from injury, helping stretch the field alongside Marquise Brown.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid described the first half as “weird,” with both offenses struggling to move despite frequent turnovers. Kansas City changed the game after halftime, as the team produced three consecutive touchdown drives of 75 yards or more. Patrick Mahomes completed nearly 90% of his passes in the second half.
Smith-Schuster has recorded 16 receptions for 168 yards and one touchdown through eight games. Although his stats have declined, he is part of a strong rotation focused on speed and spacing.
Off the field, Smith-Schuster’s fiancée, Laura Kruk, continues to chronicle her travels and workouts. The two got engaged during a sunset cruise off Nantucket, Massachusetts, in 2024. She recently marked the anniversary with photos and a note about looking forward to becoming his wife.
