Justin Thomas has announced an update about his potential return to play on the PGA Tour. The American golfer had undergone surgery in November and has been recovering from it. While revealing about his surgery in November, he said that he would miss a few events at the start of the new season.

The 2026 PGA Tour started last week with the Sony Open in Hawaii event, and fans are anxiously waiting for Thomas to return to play on the greens. On Thursday, the former PGA Championship winner shared an update about his progress on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He said that the recovery has “gone well” and he is looking forward to playing during the “Florida swing.”

“10 weeks post surgery today… feeling good! Recovery has gone well. I’m slowly building back my strength and conditioning in the gym, and also hitting wedges/short irons. Little victories and patience have been the biggest part of the process. Taking it slow and listening to how I’m feeling each day,” he wrote.

“I’m looking to come back competitively at some point during the Florida swing. I know how important it is to get this injury behind me so that I’m only looking forward over the course of the season,” he added.

Notably, the PGA Tour Florida swing is set to start toward the end of February. It will start with the Cognizant Classic, scheduled from Feb. 26 to March 1. It would be interesting to see when Justin Thomas will be playing on the PGA Tour in 2026.

Justin Thomas shares excitment of being a “featured athlete” in PGATour2K Season 5

While fans still have to wait a while to see Justin Thomas return to the greens, they can catch him on the “fairways in-game at Aronimink Golf Club.” The American golfer is the featured athlete in Season 5 of the PGATour2K edition. He shared the good news on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday with a caption:

“Excited to help kick off the 2026 PGA TOUR season as a featured athlete in Season 5 of @PGATOUR2K While I’m working my way back to seeing you all in person, you can catch me on the fairways in-game at Aronimink Golf Club. See you out there!”

Meanwhile, in the last season, Justin Thomas was pretty impressive with his game and had some notable finishes. He was the runner-up at the American Express, Valspar Championship, and Truist Championship.

He played in 21 tournaments and made the cut in 19 of them. He won the RBC Heritage last season. Thomas has last played at the Procore Championship, where he carded four rounds of 72, 70, 72, and 75 and settled in 69th place.
