Justin Thomas has announced an update about his potential return to play on the PGA Tour. The American golfer had undergone surgery in November and has been recovering from it. While revealing about his surgery in November, he said that he would miss a few events at the start of the new season.
The 2026 PGA Tour started last week with the Sony Open in Hawaii event, and fans are anxiously waiting for Thomas to return to play on the greens. On Thursday, the former PGA Championship winner shared an update about his progress on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He said that the recovery has “gone well” and he is looking forward to playing during the “Florida swing.”
“10 weeks post surgery today… feeling good! Recovery has gone well. I’m slowly building back my strength and conditioning in the gym, and also hitting wedges/short irons. Little victories and patience have been the biggest part of the process. Taking it slow and listening to how I’m feeling each day,” he wrote.
“I’m looking to come back competitively at some point during the Florida swing. I know how important it is to get this injury behind me so that I’m only looking forward over the course of the season,” he added.
Notably, the PGA Tour Florida swing is set to start toward the end of February. It will start with the Cognizant Classic, scheduled from Feb. 26 to March 1. It would be interesting to see when Justin Thomas will be playing on the PGA Tour in 2026.
