Katt Williams has left social media shocked over his comments in a new interview where he savages some of comedy’s biggest names, from Kevin Hart to Steve Harvey. 

The Scary Movie actor and Emmy winner, 52, spoke to former NFL player Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast to lay everything bare, notably his thoughts on his comedy rivals.

Katt, known for his no-hold-barred approach, did not hold back when dishing his thoughts on Kevin’s meteoric rise to fame while accusing Cedric The Entertainer of copying one of his jokes.

Sharing his scepticism about how Kevin, 44, became one of the biggest Hollywood actors in the past decade, Williams suggested the Jumanji star was an industry ‘plant.’

‘Have we heard of a comedian that came to LA and in his first year in LA he had his first sitcom on network television and had his own movie called Soul Plane that he was leading?

‘No, we’d never heard of it before that person or since that person. What do you think a plant is? Maybe people don’t understand the definitions of these words.

‘He just did his documentary with Chris Rock where he shows you his whole upbringing in comedy was on the East Coast, so how simultaneously was he here in Los Angeles doing the same thing? It didn’t happen.’

There’s no love lost between Katt and Kevin who have been feuding for years while fans have long debated who is the better comedian.

Elsewhere in the interview, Katt took aim at Cedric The Entertainer, 59, and claimed the Kings of Comedy star pinched one of his famous jokes.

He said: ‘Cedric told you when you asked him, “Did you steal Katt Williams’ joke?” He said, “It don’t line up.” How it don’t line up that I did it on TV in 2018? You came to see me at the Comedy Store do it in 2019, and then did it on The Kings of Comedy.’

Katt also made digs at Family Feud host Harvey, as well as comics Michael Blackson and Faizon Love.

He quickly became a trending topic on social media with fans reacting in their droves to his brutal takedown of the comedy world.

@Kevoh__ wrote on X: ‘Bro, i’m still dying at this, hours later … Katt Williams is soo unserious maahn.’

@LeamountLyfe reacted: ‘Katt Williams started 2024 off with brimstone and fire . And it’s hilarious.’

@BreeAgain weighed in: ‘Katt williams’ interview gave the perfect mix of truth and hater like he is absolutely the reason nobody likes him but he also is telling the truth about a lot of that and some of it is hateration…all hilarious tho.’

However, @DaKidGowie was on hand to make sure everyone remembered that Katt’s word was not gospel, stating: ‘My only issue with the Katt Williams interview is that people are going to take his word as gospel.
