LIV Golf has announced a new awards show called the LIV Golf Showcase to celebrate the highlights of the 2025 season. The one-hour televised program will also give fans a preview of what to expect in 2026.
The show will be hosted by Henni Zuël and will air on January 22 on FS1. It will use animated graphics designed around an 18-hole golf course to present awards and season highlights.
Fans will be able to vote in two award categories on LIV Golf’s official website. One category is Influencer of the Year with nominees including Grant Horvat, Bryan Bros, Bob Does Sports, Luke Kwon and Rick Shiels.
The second fan-voted category is Duel of the Year. The nominated events are Miami, Virginia, Dallas, the United Kingdom, and Chicago. Voting will remain open until Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 8 pm ET.
LIV Golf expands field size ahead of 2026 season
LIV Golf has confirmed another format change for the 2026 season, increasing the number of players at each event.
The league confirmed that field sizes will grow from 54 to 57 players. Instead of two wildcards each event will now feature five joining the 13 existing teams. The change follows LIV Golf’s earlier decision to move to 72-hole tournaments starting next season.
Three of the wildcard spots will be awarded through the upcoming Promotions event. The remaining two places will go to Scott Vincent and Yosuke Asaji who finished first and second in the Asian Tour’s season-long Order of Merit. Both players will compete as wildcards rather than being added to any team
CEO Scott O’Neil said the change is aimed at opening more doors for players.
“We are opening pathways and creating more chances for top talent to compete in the world’s golf league. Adding another qualifying spot strengthens our field and adds excitement to a season built on opportunity, competition, and growth,” O’Neil said.
The season will begin with LIV Golf Promotions at Black Diamond Ranch in the United States from January 8 to 11 before the opening event in Riyadh from February 4 to 7.
