
Lottie Woad looked back on her recent outing at the Maybank Championship with a positive attitude despite falling short of expectations. The English golfer wrapped up the week in T37 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, West Course, finishing 10 shots behind champion Miyu Yamashita.
While her performance didn’t match her recent form on the LPGA Tour, Woad took plenty of positives from the week. Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, she wrote:
“Thank you @maybankchampionship for a fun week! Survived the heat and played some solid golf 70,72,71,67 (-8). Excited for a week off to work on some things before the final events of the year in Florida 🇺🇸☀️”
Lottie Woad opened with a 2-under 70 on Thursday making three birdies and a bogey. She followed it up with an even-par 72 in the second round which included five birdies, three bogeys, and a double bogey. In round three, she carded a 71 (-1) with five birdies, two bogeys and another double bogey.
Her best round came on the final day, where she shot a 67 (-5) thanks to five birdies, two bogeys and an eagle. That brought her total to 8-under for the week.
Across four rounds, the 20-year-old hit 42 of 56 fairways and averaged 245 yards off the tee. She reached 56 of 72 greens in regulation, made 121 putts and converted 3 of 6 sand saves.
The Maybank Championship was Woad’s seventh appearance on the LPGA Tour this season. She will next feature at the Grant Thornton Invitational, scheduled for December 8–14, 2025, where she’ll partner with Luke Clanton for the team event in Florida.
