The LA Rams have two wide receivers who aren’t shy about discussing their quarterback. Matthew Stafford got some major compliments in a recent feature story that caught the attention of someone close to him.

His wife, Kelly Stafford, has been by his side through all 17 seasons of his NFL career. Puka Nacua is the Rams’ second-year breakout star, while Davante Adams joined the team this year as a veteran addition.

Kelly posted to her Instagram stories on Saturday, responding to a Sports Illustrated article written by Greg Bishop on Wednesday. The piece included interviews with Matthew’s teammates about playing with him.

“So many good quotes. I always love hearing from his teammates ❤️,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.

Nacua gave his take on Stafford’s abilities.

“If God were to make a quarterback, it’s No. 9,” Nacua said.

Adams compared Stafford to his former quarterback. He played with Aaron Rodgers before signing with the Rams.

“I don’t know why people have (underappreciated) or slighted him throughout his career,” Adams said. “But he is one of the all-time greats. That’s for sure.”

Adams added that Stafford and Rodgers have the most arm talent in NFL history.

Kelly Stafford spoke about the future in the SI article. Matthew Stafford has dealt with spine, neck and back pain in recent seasons, along with numerous other injuries.

She talked about what it would be like when his playing days end.

“You can’t play forever,” Kelly said. “Nearing the end allowed him to have fun and play free. I’ll miss the hell out of watching him compete and do what he loves. But there’s also going to be a sense of relief.”

Stafford has 42 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season, and has led the Rams back into playoff position.
